Did you know that Martin Luther King Jr. Day is the only federal holiday that is also designated by Congress as a national day of service – a “day on, not a day off”?
What is a day of service? A day of service is a day to give back to our community through our actions.
Our students wanted to give back to our community through a service project in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. They voted to participate in a Card/Letter Drive for local retirement centers. With the help of our PTSA, cards and letters from our students will be delivered to: Timber Ridge in Talus, Aegis Issaquah, Sunrise Issaquah, University House Issaquah, Revel Issaquah, Aegis Marymoor, and Aegis Redmond.
