Curiosity Quest: Protecting 'R' Plant Assembly Teaches Students the Importance of Waste Reduction!
On Jan. 17, the "Curiosity Quest: Protecting 'R' Plant" assembly was put on by the King County Solid Waste Division for students at Creekside Elementary. This assembly taught our students how waste reduction, recycling, and composting help the earth's land, water, and air. The assembly presenters also addressed how waste reduction plays a role in reducing the factors that lead to climate change. Students learned concrete ways to keep waste out of the landfill and make everyday choices at school and at home that have the least impact on the planet.
